Opening of The Atrium Makes a Big Splash!

Summer just got a whole lot cooler in Karis, thanks to the opening of The Atrium Amenity Center.

A family pool is the centerpiece of The Atrium, which is being introduced in stages. Crystal clear waters invite residents into the main swimming area, and a portion of the pool is dedicated to little swimmers who can sit in 8-inch water and play with gentle fountains.

The Atrium is designed for relaxing, with in-the-water loungers and even more loungers bordering the pool. Residents can also get comfy on upholstered patio furniture or picnic at tables beneath shady arbors.

Residents can get even more swimsuit-ready because this first phase also includes a well-equipped fitness center. With broad windows overlooking the pool, the center has full racks of bar and barbell and dumbbell free weights, as well as benches and strength-training machines. Cardio equipment lets residents meet their step goals with ease. Open floor space allows for post-workout stretching.

What’s Next

The pool and fitness center hint at what’s to come in future phases. Four pickleball courts in the second phase are sure to be a hit as the sport continues to gain popularity across the nation. Court construction is expected to begin this fall. The Atrium’s final phase will include a community building for impromptu gatherings and events hosted by the community’s lifestyle director, along with a second sparkling pool. Phase 3 construction is slated to begin in winter 2026.

A Plethora of Parks

Park space and the outdoor experience that well-designed parks encourage are central to the lifestyle residents can expect in Karis, and there has been no shortage of parks as development has progressed.

Gateway Park near our entrance is a relaxing respite surrounded by natural landscaping. Nearby Sunflower Park is where moms and dads can take their kiddos for an afternoon of fun. Little ones can play on the swings, spinners, and climbing tower while the adults watch from shady seats.

Bluebonnet Park has something for everyone, with a covered grill and café-style seating for neighborhood barbecues, a playground for the kids, and an event lawn that could double as an impromptu kickball or soccer field. Bolden Park is not only a trailhead to more than 3 miles of trails but also boasts obstacle course fitness equipment to finish your workout. The aptly named Monarch Park is a linear stretch of land in Karis where residents can relax and spy butterflies.

This is only the beginning. As the community grows, so will the list of parks and amenities.
