Young residents at Karis attend schools zoned to Crowley ISD (CISD). The district serves more than 16,000 students who benefit from a laser focus on excellence in education – academics, arts, athletics, and real-world applications. With innovative programs, STEM Plus, ROTC, and career/tech and culinary extracurriculars, the district has seen great academic improvement in the last year, boasting a B rating in recent Star Tests.

Crowley ISD is one of the most diverse districts in Tarrant County, where diversity and understanding are nurtured and celebrated. Vision 2025, Crowley ISD's five-year strategic plan, was developed with input from students, parents, staff and community members, a design team consisting of more than 30 district stakeholders. Such plan embodies the district’s cornerstones of equity and excellence in education and includes beliefs, learner outcomes and three specific goals for Crowley ISD: Thriving Students, Engaged Community and Empowered Staff.

Crowley ISD is an open-enrollment district and, while students in Karis’ initial neighborhoods are zoned to S.H. Crowley Elementary, Richard J. Allie Middle School and Crowley High School, parents have the freedom to apply to any school throughout CISD via the in-district transfer request link.

  • Bill R. Johnson CTE Center - The new 210,000 square feet campus hosts 27 career and technical programs of study for students from both Crowley ISD high schools, as well as the Crowley Collegiate Academy, Global Prep Academy, and dual credit courses. It is located south of the Sewell Agricultural Science Center at 1800 W. Cleburne Crowley Road.
